The Book of Lord Shang is considered a classic of the School of Law, one of the six great Chinese schools of thought, which was of paramount importance in the development of certain Chinese traditions in law and government.
This translation was first published in the U.K. in 1928 but was reissued at the suggestion of UNESCO after having been out of print for a number of years.
